Broad and firm of bowl, yet lean, crisp, and just-shy of delicate of transition and shank, Dunhill's Group 3 rendition of the "08" Bulldog is pretty easy to spot even at a bit of distance — the Group 2 and 4 versions both, curiously, sporting stouter transitions and shanks relative to the sizes of their bowls. A neat shape deserves a finish that will accentuate it, and in this case the "08" gets one: the classic black-on-black of the old Shell Briar.
