Oddly enough, the Diplomat is often omitted in many marques' regular lineups. Luckily, however, Dunhill's not one of them. In fact, they even chose the classic "28" shape as their 2014 Christmas Edition pipe. Continuing their Nutcracker Suite theme, it's presented in a generous Group 5 designation, finished in a warm sandblast, and topped with a smart sterling silver band and cumberland stem. Included in the set is a matching sterling silver tamper, cast in the form of Fritz, the son of the Stahlbaums, who is perhaps most well-known for breaking the nutcracker that would later transform into his sister's Prince. As usual with Dunhill's Christmas pipes, it's presented in a leather bound case reminiscent of a heavy volume of The Nutcracker and the Mouse King.
