Fuente And Padrón Begin Shipping Legends Humidor
Jorge Padrón and Carlos Fuente Jr. at Padrón headquarters in Miami for a Cigar Aficionado magazine photoshoot.
After a long, long wait, the Fuente y Padrón Legends humidor is finally beginning to get out to cigar shops. The first 20 have been shipped, and the humidor was already on display late Tuesday in at least one cigar shop, with others expected to have them soon. The humidors have considerably high price tags of $7,115. At 40 cigars per box, that puts the cigars inside at roughly $178 apiece. All the profits will go to charity.
Fuente y Padrón Legends humidor
The Fuente y Padrón Legends humidor was the subject of both a Cigar Aficionado cover story and a Big Smoke Meets WhiskyFest panel. The idea was for Padrón to make a cigar in honor of Carlos Fuente Sr. and Fuente to make a cigar in honor of José Orlando Padrón. The humidor was considerably delayed, most recently due to damage from a shipping mishap. Cigar Aficionado broke the story on this release in 2020.
Each humidor is filled with 40 Churchill-sized cigars, 20 made by Fuente in the Dominican Republic and 20 made by Padrón in Nicaragua.
