JRE Tobacco Co. To Debut New Aladinos At PCAPhoto/JRE Tobacco Co.
Honduran cigarmaker JRE Tobacco Co. has two new cigars that will be on display during the PCA trade show. The first is a brand-new blend called Aladino Fuma Noche, which the company is calling the boldest Aladino yet. The other is a thick new size for one of its core lines.
Fuma Noche, which translates to “night smoke,” is targeted to those who enjoy a bold cigar at the end of the night. It’s available in one size, Super Toro ($15), which measures 6 1/4 inches by 54 ring gauge. It’s a Honduran puro made entirely of leaves grown on farms owned by the company. According to the company it’s a full-bodied blend.
Fuma Noche
Shipping in boxes of 16, Fuma Noche has a modern aesthetic, packed in black boxes with a piano-lacquer finish, a monochrome version of the Aladino image on the inner lid, metallic lettering and a secondary band on the foot of the cigar—a first for the company.
JRE said there are no plans to expand Fuma Noche with additional sizes but that may change in the future.
The core Aladino Maduro line is receiving a hefty, new size, Gordo, meant to meet consumer demand. Measuring 6 by 60, this is the thickest cigar in the line and brings the brand up to six vitolas. Like the rest of the line, it is all-Honduran, with a dark maduro wrapper atop Corojo-seed binder and fillers grown on JRE-owned farms. It ships in red boxes of 20 cigars and has a suggested retail price of $12.50 each.
Aladino Maduro
Both releases are rolled at the Fabrica de Puros Aladino S.A. factory in Honduras and are expected to start shipping to retailers directly after the show.
